Agyrenensium tyrannus, cum quo Messenii pacem fecerunt. Diodor. Sic. l. 14. qui post Dionysium totâ Siciliâ erat potentissimus. Nam circumiecta munimenta propemodum omnia habebat in manu et populosissimae istis temporibus urbi Agyrenensium imperitabat: quippe in illâ haud pauciores viginti milibus viventium numerabantur. Praeterea magnam opum vim ex bonis interemptorum opulentissimorum civium in arce asservabat. Hunc Dionysius maior; cum Mago Siciliam octoginta milibus Olymp.
